Lots of Okie flavor in this airing of Folk Salad with the Red Dirt Rangers kicking the party off with songs from their new CD, Lone Chimney.

This show honors Mavis Staples who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame recently. We will play some tasty cuts from her newest CD produced by Jeff Tweedy as well as some older songs by Mavis. We will also throw in some songs from Guy Clark's newest release for good measure. Finger style guitar picking is the flavor for Folk Salad this week.

Wink Burcham comes into the studio with some singer/songwriter friends, to help him promote his new solo acoustic CD "Comfortable Shoes". He renders a few songs, as well as do some of his cohorts.

Folk Salad offers songs by the Stray Birds, a new song from Claire Lynch, and a song from Cary Morin's new CD called "Streamline." The song entitled "Tulsa",pays tribute to our fair city, and is a killer song. We also feature an in-studio performance and interview with Cary Morin. You won't want to miss this great fingerstyle guitarist.
